TO: (Your U.S Senators), President, Joe Biden, Vice President, Kamala Harris, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer:
During his first joint address to Congress, President Biden urged Democrat and Republican lawmakers to deliver a solution to one of the biggest issues of our times—build a pathway to citizenship for millions of immigrants. On May 14th 2021, President Biden held his first meeting in the Oval Office with community leaders and met with Dreamers and reiterated his support for Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers, and other essential immigrant workers signally immigration continues to be a top priority.
Our communities can’t continue to deal with congressional inaction. If we want to protect millions of Dreamers, TPS holders, and essential immigrant workers from deportation, then we must call on Congress to ensure a path to citizenship is included in the upcoming jobs and infrastructure reconciliation bill.
President Biden has made it clear he wants to follow through on his promise to build a fair, humane, and functional immigration system in the next 100 days, and he is willing to work with both sides of the aisle to get this done.
Every day of inaction is dangerous for millions of immigrants and American families who live in constant fear of being broken apart.
We call on Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, Farmworkers, and Essential Workers in the next 100 days and recognize them as the Americans they already are.
Ask Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, farmworkers, and immigrant essential workers and recognize them as the Americans they already are.
